Since they are gods, you might assume that The Four might have unlimited powers. However, due to the fact that their strength is linked to the powers that drive the world itself, at any one time, while their power at hand is, of course, orders of magnitude stronger than any mortal wolf, they are not omnipotent as one might think.
Arria is a good example of this. Most of her power is tied up in the water cycle, the flowing of rivers, the great ocean currents, and most weather. All these things she does more or less subconsciously. And, while she does have a tendency to attract clouds when she is on the earth, for the most part she does not do anything to effect all these complex cycles by using the power that runs them for herself.
However, when she does draw on that power, be it for battle or something else, she has to take it from another place. Her usual choice is the power she uses for the water cycle, which will cause droughts that can last for months or years depending on how draining it is on her. When she was young, she tried using other sources of power, but learned that disrupting the ocean's currents and other such things was a very bad idea.
And, any great use of power is exhausting to the gods. Fire storms, tornadoes, earthquakes, thunder storms, these things, if not natural, take a lot of power. Especially if summoned quickly.
So, when the gods battle with one another it has profound effects on the land.
Luckily, the powers of the Sequs do not have such consequences, because in comparison to the god's normal power that is at hand (and not tied up in the workings of the world) they need very little.
