The bright sun which had once shone over the earth and brought warmth to it creatures and things, was now covered with dark clouds. It was a tad chilly with a cool breeze dusting around on the ground and a light drizzle was falling giving the woods a drink of the precious water. The trees had turned their leaves so they could soak the water and the wind blew them around. The flowers had shut themselves when the sun had left, except for a few who still stood opened and were covered in drops. Water dripped from the top of the stones outcroppings that sheltered the heads of the wolves.
One wolf lay under one of the outcroppings. It was not like she was laying she was crouching very low to the ground. Her paws were stretched out in front of her like the mighty sphinx of the Egyptians. Yet wolves do not know of that breed at all, for they live in another world. But back to the wolf. Her fur was covered with droplets for the wind often blew the rain in after her. In front of her were a small patch of flowers. They were beginning to close, as if hiding from the rain. She tentatively reach out with her pale-brown muzzle and touched a flower holding her soft black nose on it for just a moment. She stopped blinked her green eyes then laid her head on her paws.
The flower didn't do anything. Slowly though it began to open and color came back into it's petals. It looked better than it did before the storm had come and the sun shone onto it. The brown wolf smiled watching the flower. It was a gift to Trigo even though it was a meager gift. Terra believed he enjoyed life. Thriving life. She sighed and shut her eyes. She was just resting as the rain fell lightly over the earth.

The rain picked up some as clouds overhead became darker, masking the exact time of day. The drops had been falling long enough now that even the densest sections of forest were moist at the earth. The ruddy gray-green shade of everything was joined by a swiftly jouncing silhouette of a wolf as Zadru came trouncing through the rain. He'd been out scavenging for berries and the like, a sweet and sometimes bitter little treat that involved none of the work of a hunt- well, finding them, of course, but after that, not much. He jogged quickly through the underforest, figure bobbing but not in the least awkwardly so.
Everything worked together fluidly as he swept into camp, aiming straight for the nearest overhead ledge. He zipped in and came to an easy stop on a dime, ravaging his pelt with a whole-hearted shake before bothering to glance around. Surprise met his eyes as a she-wolf dozed nearby, barely out of the ring of dampness he'd created- what luck for that. He approached, ears out to the side and pricked forward, violet gaze amused and friendly. She didn't seem to be fully asleep yet. Good- he didn't want to wake her, but didn't want to sit out the rainstorm with no one to talk to.
Gently he nudged her shoulder, musing at the patterns in her fur, the flower above a sculpted ear. She was quite ... well, dashing, perhaps. Terra, 'f I guess righ'? Zadru questioned as he backed a step, not that he believed an Adair wolf would snap, just out of respect.

Terra had been laying in the grass shaded by the ledge above her. Her head poking out and being drizzled with drops of rain. It was quite peaceful, if it was a bit chilly. She heard someone moving around but knowing it was just a pack-mate she let it alone. Whoever it was nudged her gently in the shoulder. She cracked open her eyes. In front of her was a wolf she had seen several times before. Zadru was his name. The blue wolf the color of water, with the piercing purple eyes and pointed horns. She knew him to be nice so she didn't mind his company. This time she lifted her muzzle opened her other and and shook the droplets from her head. She then sat up concealed under the shade as to not get anymore wet. "Yes, and you are Zadru?" she said eyeing the rain falling before turning to the wolf.

Seem t' be. He grinned, joking around as usual. Haunches plopped unceremoniously onto the earth as he leaned back against the rock, itching his shoulders in an awkward position, eying the lass with discretion. She was shy, to his knowledge, and rather young- one could see it in the undeveloped body, how she was thinner than the adults still. But, she was as tall and long as the adults. Another season or two and she'd be indistinguishable.
Zan wriggled his way down the wall, working back into a seated position, staring hard straight out at the rain. So, what're ya trainin' for? In Adair, I mean. Gonna be electin, milede, venta... Sequs? He had to ask. From even a temporary inspection through his peripheral vision, the earthly tones in her coat were unmistakable. Plus, the decadent flower at her ear- everything, even her name, revolved around the earth, Trigo. If she was so devoted to him, he had to wonder if she didn't hope to become an earth sequs.
Then again, he could be all wrong. She could hate her affinity in color and name for the earth, but it didn't seem too likely. He risked a glance toward her, a somewhat affectionate smile granted from the corner of his maw. Zadru was venta himself, so one couldn't blame him for being defensive and especially amiable with Adair's youth. It was, after all, his job to defend them if harm ever threatened.

Terra looked around at her surrounding, to avoid the gaze of the blue wolf. The rain, look as if it was showing signs of giving up, but still sprinkled steadily onto the ground. The rock ledge above her dripped in some places. She turned back to the wolf when he stopped scratching the back of his shoulders. He only asked a simple question but then surprized Terra by adding in a extra, Sequs.
"A milede, unless...", she paused for a second. She still wasn't sure if she really wanted to be a Sequs. It would be nice to be one, she supposed, but I don't have to be one. "I'm lucky." She didn't want to be to desirous or anything. She looked up at the blue wolf. "I know you want to be a Sequs don't you?"
She knew the wolf was a follower of Arria. She didn't want to probe him about it too much. She had seen him and his love of water.

Grin softened as the lass admitted she hoped to become a Sequs, but then again, who didn't? The power of earth was quite formidable- who would want to fight you when you could shake the very ground they stood upon? Paws reached forward, taking little steps as he slowly lay down under the ledge, content to listen to the showers. Mind mulled over her affinity to earth still more. She worshiped Trigo, and he worshiped Arria. Neither had a chance with the gods, but they'd eventually have to choose someone mortal. Perhaps he was being foolish for considering this lass- after all, she was young, and he seldom if ever looked at the Adair females in such a manner. He shook his head, dismissing the idea. If it would happen time would tell, if not best to just forget it.
Attention snapped back to the moment, head whisking around to face her as she asked him something. Me? Him who'd say I don' wanna be Sequs would be lyin'. But the beaut Arria chooses 'er bless-ed. He chuckled, musing at the thought. him, a sequs? What would he do with that? Defending the pack would be easier, true. Plus, he'd not have to fear fire so much. Did he have the will to do something like that? Maybe not his good side here, but his serious side should be quite adept. Who knew- it didn't appear often enough to tell. The rain seemed to be lightening. For a moment Zadru wondered if he was making the young dame uncomfortable, if she would bolt when it came to a stop out there. Violet gaze fell to the ground, a flower that was open despite the rain and others of its kin being sheltered closed. A soft frown turned to an amused blank stare, the silence not awkward, but comfortable, he hoped.

Now after he responded silence slowly crept its way in. It now seemed as Terra would have to start another conversation to get the the blue wolf to speak. Not quite intent on doing this herself she gracefully pushed her paws forward and lied down, wrapping her tail around as far as it would her left side of her body. She now thought of what would happen if she really did become a Sequs. She liked the main idea of having powers, but would she actually have to fight with them. She didn't like to fight, even though she was training to. Maybe, I'll get better, if I... she couldn't come up with anything to put in there that would fit. How would she ever be one if she was afraid. Would I not be afraid if I had powers?
She couldn't think about this now. Shaking her head a little she returned to reality. She noticed the purple gaze staring off to the outside. She turned her head, following the gaze, to see the open flower she had left. She wasn't very interested in that. She laid her head on her paws. But reared back suddenly. A small patch of grass in front of her grew taller and looked more lush then the others around it. She growled to herself. This happened a lot, she would have to work harder with controlling it. Laying her head back down, making sure not to touch anything with her nose, she looked up at the blue wolf.
