It has been brought up that mythical creatures could be a good addition to the site. And I agree. The wolves would still be the main players of course.
However, I don't think we should just pop them into existence.
So, when thinking about it, I realized that a good idea would be to make it into a plot point =D
Sightings of them could happen, as the story progresses (and we get new members. I'm thinking when we have maybe twenty? Or maybe just a very active site =D) and the packs could either choose to drive them off, or try to ally with them not that either would necessarily work. Originally, I think that they could be played by the Fauna account. And then, depending on the actions of the packs, they can be given to players =D
But, I also thought that some should be unplayable, and just be prey items, (like unicorns, hippogriffs, diricawl... most benign mythical creatures are humanoids, so I'll end it there) and some that were just beasts (chimeras?, kelpie, stuff like that) that would be just beasts to compete with the wolves.
As for the playable ones:
Dragons, Griffins, Sea Serpents, Hippocampi, Wyverns, Phoenix, Roc, Pegasus?, and some creatures I shall make up.
Feel free to tell me what you think, and tell me ones you know of that we could add, I'm sure I forgot some!
But, NO HUMANOIDS!
So, just tell me what you think.

And maybe you could add will-o-wisps, sprites, faeries, and other small creatures like that any player can manipulate. Though the faeries couldn't grant wishes or anything of that sort.
Anyway, this would be a great plot point. A war with Dragons or something. xD

I think there should be limitations on the mythical creatures, to keep wolves the main characters. Like, no dragons bigger than a bear or something, so they aren't totally in charge. Wolves could still kill them and such, if there are enough. I don't want to see everyone make Dragons then have them go around slaughtering packs because they can xD

Even a dragon as big as a bear would be troublesome. In all honesty, I think that dragons themselves should be completely sliced off of the playable chart. They could always be NPC'd by a mod or something.
But maybe if we stay true to the common perception of dragons in literature than there's a chance for something. Most dragons are depicted as extremely prideful, greedy, and solitary. Meaning that there wouldn't be harm of them swarming or anything unless one tried to steal from them.. But still, things such as fire breathing should be automatically removed (isn't that Dargan's thing?) just for the sake of not having a forest fire/roasted wolf every two seconds.
I think in total, mythical creatures would be a fun addition. But as far as inborn abilities go, things would have to be severely limited just to make sure no one is getting unfairly overpowered.

Yes, valid points. But, as stated, all the mythical creatures would start out as NPC's (by being played by the NPC account Fauna) and, depending on the actions of the pack may, or may not become able to be played by players =D If dragons were included, I think that there would only be about 2 a mated pair =D As for size, they'd be relatively large (twenty feet long or so, ten feet of body ten of tail) and even if they did breath fire, the wolves can do magic =D If the packs had Sequs, they'd be fine :3 A gifted Sequs along with about 4 other wolves as back-up would be a more than a match for a dragon.
Because, see, if we /did/ have dragons, I'd make them slightly more anatomically correct (since they can fly) so they wouldn't be super strong or meaty creatures =D (Like Verbera)
The thing that would make the mythical creatures be weaker than wolves is that none are going to be animals that live in social groups (except for maybe pairs) I mean, eventually we will have more than 20 wolves per pack, whereas there would be like, 2 dragons. =D
