The wolves of Akreon are all basically the same species. While coloration and 'mutations' give them a highly varied appearance, almost all wolves fall into the same range of height and weight. As stated below. To make a wolf that does not fall in these ranges (unless it is an adolescent and so has not reached full size, or has the Unusual Size mutation) is not allowed, not doing so will result in your wolf not being accepted (and remember you need permission from an admin to make a wolf with Unusual Size because that mutation has major side affects that /must/ be incorporated into the character) The limits for Unusual Size wolves are listed in the Very Large and Very Small categories. All other wolves most adhere to the values in the Large and Small categories. Also, remember that being bigger is not always better, and if too many large or small wolves are made, they will be banned.
(if your wolf is between the listed values, you can specify what height/weight range you wish it to be in.)

The wolves of Akreon range widely in color, to encompass almost the entire rainbow. Their markings can range just as widely in color, size, and placement. In Akreon the brighter the coloration the more attractive the wolf, although those with beautiful markings are also prized. However these garish colors make it very difficult to stalk small prey, so the wolves here rely on their magic, (as well as a diet of fish in the leaner times) to keep them alive. With larger prey, wolves capable of flight are the most prized, they will swoop down to cut prey away from the herd, driving them towards their pack mates. They rarely actually attack the animal, since they tend to be lighter boned and fragile then most wolves.
There are, however, a few markings/coat colors a wolf cannot have.
Colors: Wolves cannot have a coat that is only one color or has no markings. This is considered a cop-out description wise. Markings can be as minor as a differently colored tail/ear tips.
No pure white/black wolves. They seem to be the most popular colors in the wolf sites I've been to. It gets to the point that they are the majority sometimes, even though such coats would be exceedingly rare (especially in Encroach where brightness is prized) You can have white wolves and black wolves, but they must have variation in color/full body markings.
No Sequs markings, unless your wolf /is/ a Sequs. Wolves are only /very rarely/ born with Sequs markings. The admins decide if this happens.
No markings that resemble something of human design (chains/knives/skulls/etc).
Other than these few rules, go wild!
