A cursory glance was spared back to the cloud- yes, he could tell now there was a small spark, perhaps from lightning even. Whatever it was, the rain was heavy in that cloud, and it wouldn't last long. With a contented sigh, he plopped his snout into the wildflowers, forelegs giving way until he leaned directly onto his chest. In the art of itching his chest, cheeks, face and horns, Zadru flipped his head this way and that, forelegs dragging as hinds propelled him about through the flowers, tossing about green buds.
Perhaps he should feel guilty about this but truthfully it was a wonderful feeling, really sating his itch. Tail flipped this way and that and he cared not what sort of spectacle he made. He paused a moment and wuffled, chin on the ground, eyes focusing on a flower before him. A set, actually. A few stalks stood tall with a fine lavender-blue flower adorning them, not bell shaped, not with ruffled petals, but solid, smooth star-shaped pattern and a dazzlingly perfect center. They were simple, elegant- these must be what Arria was talking about.
He rose, shaking slightly, gripping the heavily slanted earth with his claws to keep from slipping. Like these'uns, Aurora? He grinned back to the females, quite pleased with this discovery. it was a small patch, he could gather quite a few, but it would be important to leave some so they could grow more.

Aurora initially quirked an eyebrow as Zadru seemed to make a point of scratching himself all over. He wasn't even sneaky about it, he just seemed to kind of roll around. A small smile played at her muzzle. His actions were almost pup-like, it was sort of funny. Though at the same time a wistful sigh escaped her mouth. He was acting just like someone she used to know. Someone she missed..
Her thoughts were snapped back to reality as she felt Sanguia's head brush up against her flank, most likely a gesture of approval. Aurora chuckled softly as she watched Zadru from afar, choosing to sit back on her haunches for the time being. I know almost all of the flowers here. My mate used to bring them to me daily. she stated, her eyes fixed on a patch of dandelions. Sometimes he would come back to camp covered in thorns or just simply vines. she laughed at the thought, not even fully aware that she was really talking out loud. Normally that subject was taboo to her, but something about all of the flowers was making her think.
When Zadru appeared to be finished with his little playtime romping, it seemed as if he had found some. Though at her current distance, Aurora couldn't really see, so she pushed herself to her feet and trotted over to him. She didn't even have to look twice at the flowers- they were most definitely what he was looking for. Yep. Those are them. Congratulations. she said with a smile, before adding, Now, may I ask who exactly you're getting these for? She had never seen him roaming around camp with a significant other. Then again, she hadn't really seen him to much at all. Oh, the life of a Milede... [/color]

Sanguia could not help but to feel out of place here. Her fur looked more like a Riuna wolf was expected to look like and on top of that she hardly knew anyone. These two appeared to be nice, but she could not help but to wonder if they hated her. After all who could like a wolf that looked more like the fire god than was safe.
Her fur was a reddish-orange with a black mane going down her neck. The inside of her ears were white and the top of her tail was orange. Her legs were black like dark smoke and her eyes were a smoky grey. How could a wolf like her truly fit in with these wolves of Adair?
She barely caught what Aurora said about her mate, but her heart twisted as she wondered what happened to him. She could not bring herself to ask the female. It seemed to be too personally to ask such a question to anyone. If Aurora wanted her to know, she could tell her when she was ready.
Yes, Zadru who are these for? Sanguia looked at his with narrowed eyes. She could not help but to wonder if he had made them come all the way here for some girl he liked. She would so hurt him if that was the case. Sanguia was not going to help him find a girl, after all he should be able to do that on his own. She snorted at the idea of Zadru even looking for a female in this time. The pack was still a bit out of order and no telling when Riuna would strike. After all they followed the unstable gods and the backstabbers could not be trusted.

Mind set into overdrive as Aurora's spoken thoughts provoked his curiosity. her mate used to? Where did he go? Was he killed? Did he abandon her? Roam and never return? Or was he among the pack somewhere and just not being as appreciative of his mate as he used to? Before he had time to ask a puzzled question- his face was screwed up in the confusion he felt- she acknowledged that the flowers he'd found were the right ones. Tail waved once and he glanced to the warm-colored Sanguia. She said nothing about it, so he refrained as well.
Very, very carefully, Zadru leaned down and snapped off a few stalks near the base, severing them as cleanly as he could to help the plant. With a good maw-ful- about eight- he turned to head down the hill, when their inquiry stopped him short. Spine prickled, rather defensive about this. It was stupid- the goddess was clearly not his, and never would be. He was a jealous male, though, and blushed heavily. There was no reason to evade their question, but he didn't want to reveal too much about his encounter with the goddess. He had a feeling she wouldn't appreciate him telling others of their 'bonding time', even if it had only been a short hunt and a thoughtful talk.
Er.. S'mone tol' me th' goddess enjoys th'm. He mumbled through the flowers, wondering if they'd understand. he cleared his throat, raising his head some to let his clear-speaking side clarify. It was still a little muffled for the flowers, though. An off'ring to Lady Arr'ya. Alash, if I had a mate, I'd requesht your 'elp carryin' many more. With that out of the way he ducked his head, snickering a bit, jogging down the mountainside. It wasn't to lose them, rather to change topic. He was cheerful again, and rather proud of the adequate mouthful of forget-me-nots.
